Testimonials We hired a Toyata Landcruiser Safari for a two week trip to Nicaragua. Overall we were delighted with the vehicle and the service provided by Peter. In terms of the vehicle, if you have intentions of going to the north of the country or slightly off the beaten track, a 4x4 is extremely helpful. The Landcruiser was in excellent condition and has clearly been extremely well maintained by Peter. We were certainly glad that we had hired it for some of the more challenging terrain and we believe that it represented good value for money. Overall we had no problems at all and can only thank Peter, who was very helpful in providing us with information on the country, the Landcruiser (we are 4x4 novices!) and made the whole rental process painless. Peter also picked us up from the airport and dropped us off again - thanks again for waiting despite our delayed arrival! We would certainly recommend using Armadillo if you are thinking of driving around Nicaragua and should we be back in this part of the world again, we will do so again. Ron and Millicent Johnson - United States In the last two years we visited Granada/Nicaragua 5 times.  Always we could rely on Peter van der Meijs from Armadillo.  He never failed to pick us up in time from Managua Airport and bring us safely to Granada. We also had very nice and interesting trips with him in the neighbourhood around Granada, very convenient for us because he knows his way around very well and speaks Spanish fluently. We and our guests were flying in and out at crazy times of the morning and we knew that we could rely on Peter to pick them up. With anyone else we would have been really afraid that they would not have shown up. We rented a 4x4 through another agency because Armadillo was fully booked. In the end we paid more than we would have paid through Armadillo and our car was not insured (if we hit another car only the other car was covered). We were nervous the entire time we were driving around the country. In short, I would not recommend any other drivers or car rental agency.
